Fun Today

Well was a nice day today; my youngest son and his son came to visit. We went snowshoeing for a bit.

Mason is 41/2 years old..his first time on them and he did wonderful.!!! Here he is with Daddy and Grampy.

Saturday Afternoons

W.I.P Wednesday

Can't believe a week has gone by.......and I have accumulated more work!! But; you know; I love it...lol
Well I have the tshirt quilt pieced...have the little sunbonnet sue in the frames and going across the center of it now...but yesterday I picked up another commissioned quilt to do....this is all cross stitched blocks..she did those; I will put the top together and hand quilt it for her..I haven't even looked at the blocks as of yet...lol.

Playing Around Today

It is a very cold, but sunny day today....so; I went for a little hike on my snowshoes...took a few pictures

and I am playing around with some photo software site...see which I end up liking.....

After the Storm..

Well it was nasty while it lasted; but didn't accumulate a lot. And today is bright and sunny but cold with that wind.  I just finished shoveling walk ways and hubby is ploughing the driveway.....I do it when he is at work.

Here's what we look like now.....a crisp morning....probably go out snowshoeing a bit later....have a great weekend.

Stained glass runner

This is a stained glass table runner I did on the seger yesterday....I keep finding these things while cleaning.....not sure how well you can see it; a bit dark....but the black stitching is done with crochet cotton which has a bit of gold metalic in it...

Back in the saddle

LOL....I am so thrilled to be back at the sewing and quilting. I had a lady bring me a quilt to handquilt for here yesterday.  Setting it up today....plus I finished a table runner that had been hiding on me....lol.  Here it is.....and Emily from Creative Chicks; if you are reading this...I couldn't access your profile to get back to you..sorry.   But any info I can give you is great with me.....the main thing is to stabilize your tshirts before cutting them out....so they won;t stretch. The rest is a sinch.....really. I thank all of you for your nice comments; sorry I don't get back to all of you...some days I just have time to read and I'm gone again...thank you.

W.I.P

Good morning ladies....I am finally back with a new project....lol..Besides my quilt tops to be hand quilted; I have started the tshirt quilt.....and should have one quilt in the frames by tomorrow...here is a pic of the tshirts; well, a few of them...

So; all in all; I have 5 tops to quilt
                              tshirt to put into a quilt top
But; hey, the carpet is down.....lol

Mondays

You know; normally I don't care for Mondays...but; this one has my new carpet down....and that is so nice for me.  It was a big job....so glad it is done.  Now a few more days of cleaning rooms and getting back in order here...and I can put a quilt in the frames..get back to it...lol..........have to dig the path through my sewing room now..and put things back where they  belong....everyone have a good day....ttys.

Friday

They are on their way here with my carpet,,,,yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!  lol....Wanted to keep you up to date...besides my UFOs that I have to get at....I was commissioned this week to make another tshirt quilt
It is for a guy graduating high school...I've done a few for this lady.  They are fun to do.,,,,next week I'll take a pic of some of the tshirts......so; another WIP...lol...loving it!!! Have a great weekend all of you.ttys

Snow!!!!!

Well ladies; it is the day for my carpet laying......and we had a nice snow storm last night.  Just talked to them on the phone.....not going to get here this morning...maybe after lunch....grrrrrrrrrrrrr...I understand, but oh my; been waiting for ever with all the furniture moved out of the room....keeping fingers crossed for this afternoon. hmmmmmmmmmmm

I am so itching to get at a quilt....

Snowing still

It is still snowing a bit...but is sooo very pretty outside...besides making a mess and cleaning up this past couple of weeks,...I have managed to get quite a bit of snow shoeing in...it is beautiful in the woods right now.  And Thursday; my carpet will be layed; hopefully..then back to quilting...can't wait to get one in the frames and back to the sewing room as well....I am enjoying all the UFO blogs that are being posted....and makes me anxious to be one of them......

WIP Wednesday

Afraid I have nothing this week; we are tearing up carpets to be replaced next week.  So; for a little while I will be very busy at that.....lots to do as soon as I get this taken care of though....will catch up with you all later; have fun.....

Another Job...lol

Well we ordered the new carpet for the livingroom and hallway......this means hubby and I will be tearing up the old for the next ( who knows how long) few days anyway.lol....then a quilt goes in the frames and back to my routine...I think.....keep your fingers crossed for me....ok...lol

A snow day!!!!

Well we are getting some snow today...no snow for Christmas...then a week ago got a storm..that melted pretty well...now getting it heavy...but it is sooooo pretty...I am going to go out and play in it in a minute...haha.  Actually hubby is home for a while; so he is going to plough the yard a bit..and I will shovel the walks....then maybe go snowshoeing again....here's what it looks like so far
