Amy is hosting this festival for us again...a huge thank you to her!!!! This is the link where you will find my entry in the hand quilted category.
This time around I am entering my Churn Dash quilt, which I made a little while ago. I hand quilted it myself...which I always do! This quilt measures 90"x102" and is pieced with Bella Solids. It was done as a quilt along with our local fabric shop...Fabric Cupboard. We do one every year together...so much fun!
Quilt Stats: Churn Dash....90x102 inches...Bella Solids(cotton)...hand quilted by me.
I still love the softness of this fabric in this quilt.
It is bound in the green, just neglected to take a picture after that.
I hope you enjoy the quilt festival everyone....don't forget to visit as many as you can. There is a lot of work invested in this. Thank you!!!!
I chose the option to trace Lori's pumpkin and go from there. it was a very interesting and fun time quilting this out, I just love it! I am, however disappointed in how little my thread shows up. I thought this was a glow in the dark thread, but NOT...lol. I would have used a darker fabric if I'd played around with it first, but I didn't,,,so, it is what it is! I do love this thread though.
This first pic is the inside of the pillow....wrong side, because it shows the quilting best for you to see.
I quilted a grid in the Center of the pumpkin, figure eights out from there,to little swirls then meandered the background...and pebbles around the square off border.
Inside you can just see the white glide bobbin thread...
One view of the good side...I used glide thread here, but colour is citron. I know you can't tell...lol!!!
A bit better....
Close up....now you can see the sheen of the thread....this is a fantastic thread and colour.
I am anxious to try it on black now!!!! Lol
Well.....you have to take a peek at the end of the month to see all of the pillows.
Here is your schedule for the remainder of the blog hop...enjoy!
Hey folks!! I had a very nice day today, with a few friends. We got together to sew....imagine that...lol!! It was a productive day too....besides laughing and tormenting each other, we made progress.
This is what I complete today...started it last month at our get together,
A Do-Nut quilt top....it is such a simple little quilt and very quick. And, I got my blocks pieced for the 100 club quilt.
Not the best pic...it is a disappearing nine patch with Whitewashed Cottage fabric.
The girls were working on a number of items..mainly quilts of some sort.
Besides today's projects, I have my pillow finished for this months FMQ challenge, but can't show you yet. It will be posted very soon.
I have a start on Rose's quilt.....hand quilting.
I simply love her fabrics!!! Now, besides these...I have three more to hand quilt by Christmas. And five or six of my own to quilt somehow. Mine will most likey be machine quilted...not enough time. Lol
Of course, mine are not by Christmas....not this year. Everyone got quilts last year.
I think that is it for wips this week. Have a great week...and check out the blogs listed below. Nice work going on, and giveaways!!!
It's here...can you believe how fast our summer flew by? I am so glad that Marian
started the hops up again. And did you hear....Fat Quarter Shop is giving away a $25.00 gift certificate every day of the blog hop?????? Wow!! How great is that, eh!
Today is my day to show you what I put together for this one. I saw this table runner in a magazine that I won last year from a hop. Now that is just cool!
So; on with it.....here are pics of my Halloween Haunt piece. I did the applique with a blanket stitch, and the webs are done with my walking foot. This was a very fun little project.
I just love the glass pumpkins that my hubby bought for the table....don't you? Now another look at the runner...
Who knew...we had guests just outside our back door????? lol
Happy Halloween everyone!!!!! Enjoy the hop...

Featured Haunts on Friday, October 16 A Stitch in Time
Yes!!! Well, I finished it on Sunday and bound it last night. And before I could even take a picture of it this morning...the owner was at my door to see how things were going. Of course, she took it home..with me forgetting the picture!!!!
But she was thrilled with it!!!!
This lovely one is arriving this week for me to hand quilt for a friend.
In the meantime, I am piling hardwood in for winter...so, not bored yet....lol.
This afternoon, I helped a good friend go through her sewing supplies. She isn't well, and can't work at her machines anymore. It wasn't an easy thing to do, but we got things taken care of.
She has a serger and a Pfaff 2046 to sell now.
Besides this I am getting things finished up for the Halloween Haunts blog hop starting on Friday...I am on the first day. Will be nice giveaways...
Coming soon folks!!!!! Starting Oct.16 th. is a great blog hop with fantastic giveaways.
The Fat Quarter Shop is giving away a 25.00 gift certificate every day of the hop!!!!! How is that for fantastic????? And.....I would bet that some of us participating in this hop will be hosting one too!!!!
Here is your schedule: Featured Haunts on Friday, October 16
Hello everyone! I'm trying to keep posting works in progress, but it seems I am losing interest in it lately. Maybe it's the time of the year....winter may change things.
So....right now, I am getting ready to ship the photo memory quilt out. Sorry, I can't post a pic, as it is a surprise gift and I was asked not to. But it turned out great, and the customer is excited.
I finished hand quilting this customer quilt a few days ago and bound it.
I love a nice sampler...
I have another customer quilt in the frames, hand quilting it now.
This is a gift for a child...will quilt up quickly.
I have one more quilt here, waiting to be hand quilted, and there are 3 to 5 more coming.
I am ready for the Halloween blog hop starting on the 16 th. There will be giveaways too.
