WIP Wednesday

I am a bit late linking up today...I had to throw wood in this morning; and finish this quilt.  I had about an hour and a half of quilting left to do.  I wanted it finished to show you.

              

So; my \WIPs    consist of the finishing of the commissioned quilt( she pieced it; I hand quilted it)

                                             my RTQAL top is ready to put together; added a few extra blocks

                                             'Wicked' blocks are ready and anxiously waiting my day/Oct.29th

                                              getting ready for the pillow blog hop....lol

                                               I picked up a quilt to hand quilt yesterday and waiting for 2 more

                                               I have been commissioned to make a Bluenose quilt: not started.

So; here is the pic of the finished quilt: not even trimmed up yet...I am in a hurry; going to help a neighbour cut more fabric.  I am linking up to Lee and Monika...enjoy your day.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh...I got mail!!

It is the most fun mail too.....Today the mailman brought my win from 'Bowls with Borders' win and the 'Road Trip QAL' win.  So kind of both these ladies!!!!

The first came from Angie; all the way from Germany

 Shoot...I didn't open it up!!  This has 2 lovely pieces of fabric...pink and a mint green print...a nice seam ripper and a fridge magnet from Angie....Thank you Angie!!

This has great fabric for a little road trip of it's own!!!  From Em....thank you Em!!

I am off this afternoon to take part in a fabric cutting frenzy at a friends house.  Going to take my gifts to show everyone.

I didn't take many pictures; only had my phone with me...and I usually forget. if not for Marla there would be none....lol. So; here are a couple for you...I didn't think to take any of the wools and fiber arts at the bizzare. But for someone into this; it was a great bizzare!!

Looking down to the front of the church....and this runner...I thought was just too cute!! Reminds me of Beetle juice.

This is an iron carrier...very neat idea!

And me!!!!  with a lovely background of quilts....I even found a couple of quilts in the show that I hand quilted for the owner!!!  Was a nice surprise.

Fantastic Day at the Fiber arts Show

Oh what a fun day the 3 of us had!!  We drove to Amherst this morning; took in the quilt show at the churches and did a lot of fabric shopping.  It rained all day, but we ran all over town under our umbrellas...had a blast!!!!  Now if Marla tells you I complained ....do not believe her...haha. I always wear heels; I know....sore feet!!!  But I do it anyway...lol.

I went with Marla and Connie; who are friends and neighbours of mine. Connie is a very new blogger and Marla hasn't been here very long....but they both love it. They are wonderful sewers and quilters.

Over the weekend; I will post a few pictures of some of the quilts......going for a tea right now; so enjoy your weekend everyone.

Love the mail man!!

Yesterday a nice little package came in the mail for me.  It was fabric that I won while I was in Pennsylvania, adorable pieces...a few FQs and some charms....I will make a lovely baby quilt with this fabric.

I want to thank Dhia for this lovely parcel, thank you.

WIPWednesday

Good morning to all of you...I missed last week because I didn't have enough progress to make a post. This week I have moved along a bit; though not my usual progress.  I have been putting my winter's wood in and piling it.  That has me tired out....not complaining; I like doing those things, but tired...lol.

Now on with it,eh:  I am in the middle of the hand quilting on the commissioned quilt that you saw 2 weeks ago.

Hard to see much on this one....poor lighting this morning...

A little closer; but still not that clear...sorry.

I have my projects ready for 'Wicked'......just a peek...lol

I made 2 more blocks to enlarge my RTQAL quilt top.

And I am caught up on the quilt I am making for the 100's club at my favorite quilt shop...The Fabric Cupboard....you can see them in my blog list. Lots of sales going on there....These are disappearing 4 patches.
