Holiday Lane Pillow/Giveaway

This is the last day for our fantastic blog hop organized by Madame Samm and Pauline. They have done a wonderful job as usual with this. I had a blast!!!! And we need to thank Jill for this great pattern.  We have seen so many inventive versions of this pillow; each one fantastic!

Here is what I did for my day.....

Here you can see the stars quilted in the sky.....

 little snowflakes for tree tops.....and the town clock below...my snow is white felt

On the back I wrote Holiday Lane....in case you can't read my writing...lol

I chose to make a pillow form, and an envelope back for the pillow...
|And instead of a flang around the pillow front...I just added it as a border; as you could see in the first picture.
Each blog hop that I have joined has been a sheer delight with our Madame Samm....cheers to you girl! Thank you to Pauline and Jill also for making it so much fun.

WIP Wednesday

Good morning folks!!  This has been a beautiful week; so far...cool with lots of sunshine.  I am loving it!  I think I did well this past week...I have finished hand quilting 'Intertwined'

I know; a lot of pictures...just have to bind it now.

I just put a king size Log Cabin in the frames to hand quilt for Christmas. No pics yet...I forgot..lol

This is a start on the 'Bluenose'..

Now; my good,good good friend Marla....who has a new machine put the name on here for me; thank you Marla!

I did my sample for The FMQ Challenge this month: Our instructor was Sarah Vedeler...you can go here to see the tutorial; which was a great one, and also see what others have linked up with. A huge thank you to Sarah and SewCalGal for this challenge.

I didn't find this one difficult...but I do need to mark an even grid next time.lol That might help with the sizes of the swirls...

Christmas Quilt Show

It is time to enter your quilts folks!!  This year I am entering my first little quilt made with my Go!Baby.  I made this the first of this year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is a snowman family....wallhanging size. I have a few other Christmas items, but no large quilts...I must remedy that, eh. lol.

Just a reminder.....it all starts today!!!!

Now my WIPs.....I had my post all ready to put up this morning; lost it!!  oh yeah....not sure what happened, I hit something and it was gone. Well here we go again...lol

I am 3/4 through the hand quilting on Sew Intertwined;

Still debating borders for RTQA top:

Holiday Lane Pillow is read and waiting for my day.....30th Nov.

And I am making slow progress on the commissioned Bluenose quilt.  I don't have pictures yet...soon though; when it looks like something...lol

I am always sewing or quilting one thing or another.  right now I am hurrying to finish quilt of my own. as I have a king size log cabin to hand quilt for a lady for Christmas...as a gift.  I live in Southeastern New Brunswick where today is a beautiful sunny one!!

WIP Wednesday

Seems like I'm never prepared lately....the week is gone again!  This week I have my Sew Intertwined quilt in the frames and hand quilting it.  It is moving along slowly because I had company all weekend.  Husband was working on a new wood shed; our sons were all around helping.  So; that meant wives and children here quite a bit too.  But it was nice to have them with us.  On with the WIPs:   Sew Intertwined:  I am in past the borders with the hand quilting.....

So; this is it before it hit the frames....

Besides this quilt; I have the Holiday Lane Pillow ready for the blog hop....and have started the Bluenose quilt.  This is a commissioned quilt.  Will have pictures later on for that one; I hope.

RTQAL top is as it was last week....waiting.

WIP Wednesday

Hey folks!!  It is feeling more and more like winter here.  No snow yet...lol; the sun shines and it fools you into thinking it is lovely out; which it is. But much cooler than it was a week ago!!  Oh well; it is that time of the year, right? Only going to get worse...so I'll stop whining about it.  And you know; it means more sewing time anyway....yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WIPs have rolled so very quickly:  This week I have a finish as well as works in progress to show you....The fan I hand quilted for a lady is finished:

I added a bit of a border to my RTQA top:  still debating whether or not to add another. I would prefer it bigger,,,but?????

Well; that is it for me this week....I have a commissioned quilt I have to get started right away...

Finish Friday

I finally have a finish ready to link up with Richard and Tanya. Seems like ages since I've been here. Last night I finished hand quilting the fan quilt that I was asked to do.  I think I'll take a break from quilting for a few days...fingers are tender.  But here it is:
