Getting things Together
Today is a day for me to get caught up. I have been spending most of my time in the garden..today is raining; which we need. So; to the sewing room I went!!
I finished my Swoon quilt top: not a great picture...it barely fits on my kitchen floor here...I'll get better pics later on.
Block #7 for the About A Quilt QAYGGAL
This was quilted on my domestic Baby Lock Tempo......
And a lap quilt I did as a group thing with our local fabric shop
Disappearing 4 patch. Again; not great lighting.
I did a large meandering on the Tiara for this one.
This is made with flannel wool fabric and is a blessing to machine quilt.

Be A Hexie Queen
The final day of the blog hop; and my day to show you what I've made with my very first hexies.
I have always steered clear of hexies because of that tedious shape!! But, alas...it isn't bad at all!!
Now, I am not saying I am going to make a bed size quilt yet; but I at least know more about them now.
Thank goodness for Madame Samm and Debbie; or I probably never would have tried this. And we have Connecting Threads as our sponsor...they are wonderful!! Thank you guys!!!!!!
Now; my first project is a couple of candle mats. and they are made from 'Lucy Crab Shack'.
I stitched these by machine and turned them right side out...quick and easy!! Two hexie flower candle mats.
The second project is a baby quilt....for this one; I cut out the hexies and machine appliqued them onto the background. I know; easy way out!! That was my first thought until I made the candle mats....I kind of enjoyed doing them. But this quilt; I saw on Craftsy and loved it...so;
Same 'Lucy Crab Shack' fabric for the hexies...I love the softness of this quilt. I machine quilted it on my wonderful Tiara!!
I hope you enjoyed these projects and this blog hop...I have had lots of fun and learned something new that I will definitely try again. Now go and visit all of the others posting today...lol

WIP Wednesday/August Goal Finish!!!!
I didn't forget this week folks!! You know; the mind is the first thing to go...haha!! It has been a fantastic week here...sunny, maybe a little too hot...but fantastic. I've been harvesting lots of my garden, doing a little reno to the house and lots of sewing and quilting.
To my list now: I have finished the Ribbon quilt for my customer...
Now; you may notice there is one triangle out of place here...she chose to leave it. Something she may change herself.
My hexies are completely ready; but I can't show you. My day is the 28th. But please make sure you visit everyone during this blog hop that started today.
I am ready to quilt another block for The About a Quilt QAYGQAL...
Swoon quilt is ready for the last border....I am thinking about that one right now..may add something more; not sure.
I have 2 waiting to be hand quilted for a customer....I'll show you one now, I just put it in the frames.
I also have 2 scrappies of my own to quilt....a lap quilt...my Texas Teardrop...and my Garden Fence. So; still lots to get caught up with....and I am starting my project for the pin cushion blog hop....
Now; it is time for My August Goal Finish!! This Ribbon quilt was my only goal for this month, and it is finished....yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am linking up to Sew BitterSweet Designs.

Swooning Around!!
A gorgeous day here today; it has been lately...knock on wood!! Since I forgot WIP yesterday; I thought I would catch up a bit with you. This is my Swoon quilt top so far...still needs borders.

On another note...I picked more beans and peas today and got them in the freezer now.
I used to can them; but way too hot for that...so in the freezer they go now!! I mowed the lawns and now I am ready for a more restful day tomorrow...well maybe. lol.
Only 3 or 4 days of hand quilting left on the customers ribbon quilt. It is so pretty!!! I love her colors.
Well; I think that is it for me today folks....I am going to have a tea and hand quilt for a couple of hours....ohhhhhhh; I did get some more quilting done on Tiara...will show you that during the Hexie hop......have a great evening.

WIP Wednesday
Hey folks!! A busy week here; with lawns to mow, gardens starting to be picked and the sewing and quilting to be done...I love it!!!! I had fresh vegies from the garden this week; carrots, beans, and beets and beet greens.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Anyway; enough of that,eh.....WIPs this week: Still hand quilting this ribbon quilt for customer...
It is coming right along ....
I have the last Swoon block in progress; just cut out...
Ho Ho Ho projects finished and posted...this one was picked for creativity; yay!!!! so nice
And I am working on the Hexie blog hop projects...just about finished, no pics yet.
And you know I have quilts waiting to be hand quilted. I hope to get more pracitice on Tiara this week too.

Ho Ho Ho Blog Hop
Oh heavens!! I have been so anxiously awaiting today....These Christmas projects are so much fun to play with. And........have you seen the fantastic pieces that our bloggers have been coming up with????? Wow!!!
Of course; we have to thank our wonderful Madame Samm, and Carol for organizing this for us. They are two fantastic ladies( shhhhhhhhh...they like to compete you know....lol). Don't they make it fun.....And don't forget our great sponsors.

First; I came up with a cute little wall hanging....It's machine appliqued and FMQ. I have made this one before; a few years ago and just had to have another.

The second one is a table runner...done with the same method, but cut the snowflakes with Accuquilt Go Baby and snowflake die!! It is FMQ also, but doesn't show up much with the busy reindeer background.

Goals for August
Another month gone by...This month I have several goals I am hoping to accomplish.
Finish hand quilting the quilt in the frames for a customer.
Finish the hexie projects for the blog hop
Hopefully finish the pin cushion project
Get more practice on Tiara
