Wow...October already, and this FMQ Challenge will be over before we know it! I can't believe it; so much fun going on. This month SewCalGal has teamed us up with Teri Lucas for the challenge. Teri gave a great tutorial and pictures for us to follow.
I want to thank both of you for this month's work. I really enjoyed it; and here are the 2 practice pieces I did.
This is the first one I tried...sorry the white thread doesn't show up better.
This is the 2nd one....a long way from perfect, but much more relaxed than the first one.
If you want to see more of what others have done for this challenge head over
here and take a look.
Your quilting looks great Marjorie!
ReplyDeleteI agree....great job!
ReplyDeletePurdy Marjorie -- and writing your name is not an easy task is it ? But it came out sew nice!
ReplyDeleteMarjorie, I love the way you dotted the "i" and the "j" in your name and incorporated it into the first line of echo quilting! Your feathers look good, too -- I always have a hard time getting each loop angled the right direction, but yours are all just perfect. I also like the fill pattern you stitched just above and to the right of your name in the second picture -- it reminds me of mussel shells!
ReplyDeleteNice! Good for you, Marjorie! Relaxing is good.
ReplyDeleteYour pieces look great, Marjorie. Isn't it neat how all the fillers just fit together so well. I'm about to start thinking about my piece for this month so it is wonderful seeing all this inspiration!
ReplyDeleteNice Job! Isn't it great how we can use all the various designs we've learned over the year and incorporate them into each new piece! Well done!
