WIP Wednesday

This is a totally different week than last week for me.  I am home, and back to hand quilting...had fun with my little guys and I got some piecing done while I was with them.  This was between hockey games and snow shoeing with them.  They were extremely well behaved and we had lots of fun.

Now, what I am working on this week...this quilt is completely finished

This is the last of 3 quilts I hand quilted for sisters.

this is a peek at the one I am hand quilting this week....just a peek. I want the owner to see it before posting the quilting.  I have one row of these blocks finished.

I have my projects ready for the "Ruffles" blog hop starting very soon.  Planning my flag on a stick.

I also finished piecing the Double Wedding Ring quilt I am making for a customer.  Here is a peek.

I will show you more later on. It will be the next one hand quilted. I need to get some quilts basted to machine quilt soon...it's been ages!!!!

WIP Wednesday

Hey folks!!  I have made it back home in one piece...lol.  I had a blast with our grandsons, and we had snow days!!  Oh my...3 little men to take care of and play with all week. They went snow shoeing with Grampy while Grammy shoveled snow. Grampy had surgery on his hand and can't do that yet.  Lucky me!!  lol.  I don't mind doing things outside like this though.  I boys loved helping and jumping on what I had already moved and knocking it back down...lol.

We came back home late yesterday and although missing them; it is nice to be home and in my own bed. I will show you what I planned to post last week; I couldn't get my ipad on line at my son's ...as I forgot to get their internet password from them....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am halfway with the quilt that I last showed you....and I did bind a customer quilt while away.

Well; it is mid Feb. and we are about to have another major snow storm tonight. We have been taking care of 3 of our grandsons since last Monday....here til Tuesday. Things are going very well with the boys, and all the hockey games and practices. Up at 6am this morning for a one of each; I'm still sleeping at that time normally..lol!!!

Churn Dash

Once a year, I join the 100's club at our favourite local quilt shop.  we pay a small fee to join...and we get all the fabric to make a lap size quilt. we pick up home work fabric once a month between Sept. And Feb and gradually get our quilt pieced.

This year, I along with Connie decided to make ours queen size.  I just finished piecing my top today.

I wanted it together before going to stay with my grandsons next week.  The pattern this year is the churn dash,  and the fabric is 

Bella  solids. My first time using this fabric....love it.

Here is the quilt...we'll 1/4 of the quilt..LOL. it is folded ready to put away for awhile.  Once I get  a few customer quilts quilted, I will machine quilt this one.

WIP Wednesday

Hey everyone...hasn't Feb been awesome so far!!  We do have snow on the way though.

This week I finished hand quilting on this quilt.

Outside borders...

I bound it last night and put the next quilt in the frames this afternoon. This it it here...

this is a sampler....Next week I may not have a thing for you.  I will be spending next week at our sons...babysitting.  they are going on vacation..Dominican .  so; I will be getting 3 little boys to and from school.

No quilting next week,,,but maybe get some piecing done....maybe!!!!
