The pile of fabrics all labelled with letters and numbers. This is the first quilt that required this...so very many small pieces and similar shades.
then the first few pieces connected...

Poppy Quilt in progress
this post is for my friend who's daughter ordered this quilt. they will enjoy seeing it come together. the stages aren't much to see for us who make quilts...but for someone who doesn't ; it is quite a process.
LOL...bad bad lighting! but can see what is going on here.
and now; the first poppy bud partially assembled....It is so pleasing to see those tiny little pieces turn into this!!!!!
