As you all know; today is May 21, our big Giveaway Day; hosted my Sew, Mama, Sew.
First of all, thank you to our host. This is a great way for people to get to know each other and share our crafts and give away fabric or whatever you like. It is my first year taking part.
My giveaway is a stack of 5 FQs...and I will ship internationally. Giveaway ends May 25th and I will randomly draw a winner and announce this winner on Saturday the 26th.

Anywhere in Canada. The only province I haven't been to is Newfoundland and Labrador. That would be a great vacation but then again, I wouldn't mind going up to see the territories - in the summer though.

I enjoy visiting California every once in awhile, but my favorite vacation spot would definitely be a cabin in the mountains!
ReplyDeleteI went to Queensland, Australia once a long time ago and it was the most fun vacation ever. I went when I was still single and my whole extended family went along. Not sure if I'll enjoy it now that I have kids who are teens.
ReplyDeletePhuket, Thailand is a very easy slow paced vacation. Nice weather and the people are always smiling.
At this point in my life, I just want a few hours alone in my home with no one I have to feel responsible for. Just me and my computer!

While I do love Las Vegas, my favorite vacation was to Best Friends Animal Shelter in Utah. We stayed in a cabin there right near the horses and we even got to keep one of the dogs overnight in our cabin. We had such fun walking the dogs and the people who work there are special, dedicated and caring people. I'd love to go back one day and take my daughter.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite place is my mother's cottage at a beach on Prince Edward Island. It is away form the more touristy places near a towns that are more like little villages, but the beach is as spectacular as Cavendish.

Hmm, difficult one. I don't like to go to the same place each year, nor am I much of a beach girl. I'd recommend Vietnam, Moscow, NyC, Devon in England and the croatian coast.

ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite place is Spain. Pretty much anywhere there. The coasts are especially lovely. Puerta Peñasco on the west coast of Mexico is fun too. It's cheap and the hotels have pools and are right on the beach.

ReplyDeleteWell, I lived in Egypt and loved vacationing in the Sinai -- especially Dahab. Really, though, I will be very very happy with any vacation where it is warm, there are ways to be active (horse back riding would be a plus), and there is a body of water to swim in. I actually prefer fresh water, so I am not tied to beach vacations! Thanks for the chance to win!

We always went to the Smoky Mountains when I was growing up...year after year we spent there, and I loved it. Now I can see mountains out my front and back door. So I guess i get my fill of mountains. So I don't really have anyplace particular that would be special...just anyplace to get away for a change of scenery.

ReplyDeleteI have so many favorite places to vacation that it's impossible to choose just one. One that is near the top of my list would be Southern Missouri, in the Ozarks. I just love travelling around that area and stopping to see all the great little places selling handmade things and Branson is a great area. That area has the best 'country' style restaurants with amazing food just like Grandma used to make.

But we do visit my husband hometown of Thompson, Manitoba, Canada almost every summer. His parents have a cottage up there which is really nice to stay at and unwind on the lake. :)

But I have a camper on some land where I can see Zion National Park to the south and Cedar Breaks Natl Monument to the north. To the east is Bryce Natl Park and 3 miles up the road is Navajo Lake, massive lava fields, forest and quiet. That's where I go to recharge. Thanks.

No question about it. Hawaii is our favorite vacation spot. Once we're there, we never want to go home. It's just so relaxed and laid back and friendly everywhere you go. And with our bilingual (English and Japanese) family, it is one of the few places in the States where each of us can be understood! Love your choice of fabrics. Thank you!

I live in Australia so there are so many beautiful places to vacation but my favourite is the South West of Western Australia. There are ancient towering Karri tree forests and spectacular wildflowers that take your breath away
