Now....I get to show you what I made. I didn't buy the fabric line because I could sell fabric, I have so much! But it is an adorable line...I just love the tree panels I've seen. So, maybe later?????
I have 3 pieces for this hop...first up, This red Cardinal table topper...the Center fabric and the star points are Robert Kauffman(I believe)...been awhile since I checked. I made some of these before Christmas as well.
next is this table runner of the same fabric....
And the two of them...
And my very favorite of the projects....my quilt.
Now this was taken on the only snow surface I could climb in my back yard...lol
We just have too much snow for me to get to one of my benches...or even find that bench for a better picture...lol. I machine quilted it with cathedral window curves in all of the windows. I meandered between the windows, and the borders are done with swirls on the print...figure eights in the rust borders and little loopy lines in the white....you may be able to see it some, I hope.
The center of this quilt is a panel of winter scenes that I just loved... With the little red birds. the border print fabric is called 'Oh Canada' by Stonehenge. I used this line back a few months when I made the gift quilt for the RCMP detachment in Moncton.
I am calling this quilt 'Canadian, eh'. I really hope you enjoyed the visit my friends!!! Please stop by the rest of the blogs. Here is your schedule for today, and below that...there just might be a giveaway!!!!

ReplyDeleteWow Marjorie I love the red cardinals and how you used them to bring some life to your red fabrics. They can be used all winter without being too Holiday-ish. I love the quilt fabric. Is it possible have the selvage information on it. This would make for a beautiful quilt for the other half and would fit into our cabin deco. I want to say thank you for sharing your delightful projects with us today.

ReplyDeleteGreat projects and quilting.
ReplyDeleteYour table topper and runner are great with that lovely cardinal fabric and your pattern, Marjorie. That quilt would go great in my little cabin, but I'm happy to say we have no snow on the ground. Hoping for spring time for you soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your projects. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMarjorie, The cardinals are beautiful against the snowy background. I thought the table topper and table runner were stunning until I saw the quilt and then I was blown away. It is absolutely gorgeous. The quilting is beautiful, too. I can only imagine how tired you are of snow. It feels like spring already in Oklahoma and just two weeks ago we had snow and ice. I've been out even without a coat or sweater already. The blue fabric for the giveaway is beautiful. Thanks for joining the hop, sharing your beautiful projects, and being so generous.
