Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have been waiting for ever; it seems!!! My day to play on the blog hop...lol.
Our wonderful Madame Samm and Amy get a great big thank you for getting us through this one!!!!!
We have great sponsors that we couldn't do without either.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece...especially since I have all boys and all grandsons; fun!!!!!
This time I made a crib quilt and it is only for 'Boys'....here goes.
I took pictures from the little one's coloring books, fused them on to the fabric. I then appliqued them with a zigzag stitch. Stitching the facial expressions was so fun!!! I machine quilted little loops and stars all over the background of the quilt.
I took a couple of pics outside, but it was really cloudy; so I came inside and took a couple....not a lot of difference....lol. But here they are...outside
Inside...
That backing for this one has little squirrels, mice and birds with bird houses....so cute!
I hope you enjoyed my little piece of this hop. Make sure you visit the rest of the participants today; they have all worked hard for this. Thank you for visiting.
Here is today's schedule: November 14th

ReplyDeletecute quilt, but I avoid blog hops with Samm.Too many stops, questionable winners, just not as fun for me as other hops are.
ReplyDeleteI have to step in here, you are so out of line with your anonymous comment, afraid to give your name???
DeleteI agree. This is not the place to air your concerns with Samm's hops. You only had two good words for Marjorie after all her hard work in making this beautiful quilt.
DeleteAnonymous people leaving comments have no valid argument. This is Marjorie's blog which is a sweet place to visit, not a place to vent.
DeleteOh...........I so wish folks wouldn't leave their feelings here; not the place. I think we have the best hops out there!! Thank you Samm.

ReplyDeleteI am late getting here today... Me and hubby went to the coast for overnight and to enjoy today... Just got home... left all laptops at home so it was just he and I.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt!
I have 8 grandsons and no grandaughters, so boy stuff is always nice. It's hard to find stuff for boys sometimes, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is wonderful. I made one once or twice by copying some real cute animals on a wooden puzzle. Copied them onto t-shirt transfer paper, ironed em on quilt material and sewed them into a quilt for 2 of my grandsons many years ago. They have held up for 8 and 11 years, *so far).
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful job you did. Love that you created it yourself.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Love the creative ideas you have...keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this quilt. I love it

So sweet...I love the nursery rhyme. Using a coloring book is a super idea. Really cute artwork.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to make your quilt using the well known rhyme and pictures from the colouring book. I tried to think of something using that rhyme, but couldn't come up with anything. Well done!!! It's a fabulous quilt!!!
