Finishes this week

Good morning everyone...it is a chilly week here.  Well, along with decorating for Christmas and wrapping gifts, I finished hand quilting this one for a friend.
You wouldn't think blue sashing would work here...but it brings things to life.
And, I finished quilting this next one on Lily yesterday morning, and bound it last night.  It kept we awake so I could watch Vikings!
Now, today, I hope to finish wrapping gifts...then next week do a little baking, which I don't do a lot of anymore. I find no one wants to eat when visiting...so, I eat it!
Have a wonderful rest of your week folks.  And Merry Christmas in case I'm not back before then.

WIPs

Good morning everyone...it is a dull one here, while we await more snow. Well, I am still wearing the foot cast for awhile yet...not healing well, but we will get there.  Meanwhile, I am getting lots of quilting done!
I told you I had started this quilt a couple of weeks ago...it is ready to go now. Lots of little appliquéd bits.
They are hoping to get here today before the snow.  And I am making two throw size quilts for a lady from clothing...a memory quilt. Here is one finished...the other is on Lily.
They are pretty much the same.  I now have this one in being hand quilted for a friend.
This is probably the last one to be hand quilted until after New Year...probably...lol
I have a few t shirt quilts to get started, and three or four more large quilts to hand quilted.  Plus, I have six or eight of my own to quilt.  I am piecing my 100 Club quilt...I do this every year with our fabric shop in the area.
Well, I think  that's about it for today folks...enjoy your week.

This first one is hand quilted, and was picked up yesterday.
And this one needs two more borders to be hand quilted for the same customer.
And.......this next one is on Lily as we speak...2/3 finished.  I can't stand long enough st one time to do all of it at once, but soon.
It is so cute!!  Well...next time...take care

Finished

Good morning folks...it is a chilly one here this morning.  Well, I have Bella all hand quilted and bound...ready to ship.  This quilt is an order along with the Giant Dahlia I showed earlier.  Will have to see how our mail strike goes before mailing though..they are talking!  Lol

Here is Giant Dahlia again
And, Bella...
Now, I have another one in the hand quilting frames, and will start piecing a cat throw for Lily(Coronet).
I am now putting my full weight on my broken foot with aircast on, which helps so much.
It's amazing, the things we take for granted, til they are gone.  But, on the mend! Have a great weekend...coming right up.

Change In Plans

Good morning folks...on my second cup of tea here at 8:00am.  I didn't finish the season off as planned, but it is what it is, eh...lol. I tripped on Sunday evening and broke my foot, so, I am out of commission for a lot of my routine chores.  It really throws one when things change so drastically all of a sudden.  I'm in no pain, which is wonderful! Just learning new ways to do things..lol
This is my right foot for hard to say how long now.  And I am in a wheel chair to get around, borrowed from a wonderful friend.  I would have been lost without her this week. Things will come together though, and I will work on quilting as much as I can.
It is so nice to have people who can help like this, as wheel chairs and things aren't always available when you need them.
Well, have a great day, and enjoy....I am getting better at this every minute...lol

Welcome to My House

Good morning all...today is my day to show my little project for this hop. I love these blog hops, don't you all?  Thanking Carol, again, from Just Let Me Quilt for the hard work in organizing these for us.
I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece..even though it is small...lol.  It is not your regular house, but it is a house. So, here we go....
This piece is a table runner, with fusible applique, and a little machine quilting to finish it off.

Again...since outdoor changed the true colour.
I machine quilted little stars everywhere to go with the stars in the background Fabrics. Thank you for visiting, please visit everyone on the list below.

Not sure why my list didn't come through, so, please go to Just Let Me Quilt for the list....so sorry.

Linking to http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/....hey folks, back again this week...yay!

This week's WIPs are as follows....
Ok, I finished piecing the Irish Mist...last week it looked more like this
And now...
You realize, the breeze stopped as soon as I took the quilt top down!   Lol. But, I love this quilt, and am anxious to quilt it.  This next one is still being hand quilted but near the end now.
There is one more row of blocks and borders left.
The Giant Dahlia is ready to be appliquéd to the background too.

I have one more to piece that is with the Dahlia order, which will be in grays and purples.  Will show you once I get started. I am going to try to get one ready for Lily today...if possible.
Now, besides this, here is what I've been up to..
And..

And sitting out enjoying the high tide from my back yard. That's it til next time folks...have a wonderful week!

WIPs

Hello folks....I haven't been around much lately, other than blog hops, but hoping to change that.
I tend to get busy this time of the year with outdoor things...like lawns, flower gardens and veggie garden.  But, I am sewing and quilting up a storm...just not posting it all.

I have finished hand quilting 2 embroidered quilts for a friend, who is gifting them.
This is a peek at one, the other was blue instead of black.  The pic doesn't do them justice at all...the unicorn blocks are really quite pretty.
Right now I am hand quilting this one for a friend..nearing the end of it.
I don't want to show more because she needs to see it first. I have around 8 quilt tops of my own to quilt, but can't seem to get one on Lily right now..I keep going back to customer quilts because of deadlines, but soon!
I am working on this Irish Mist of my own..piecing it right now...here's a peek
This is the Center..I have two small borders added, but will add more. The pattern is smaller than I want.  I am loving this quilt so much!
I have started piecing a Giant Dahlia for a customer...identical to this one that she bought a few weeks ago.
And, I have another order for this same lady...will show it when finished too. I had two quilts dropped off today to be hand quilted, and another arriving on Thursday.  So, I am very busy, and loving it!!!!
Here is my veggie garden that will be ready to harvest In Two to three weeks.
This is part of it....it is 35'x125'...I could be crazy!  Lol. But, I enjoy being outside...mowed lawns today for 31/2 hours and it was a warm day. But, done for another week...yay!
This weekend. I think we may just take off in the Solstice...enough work!  Hmmmmmm

Christmas in July

My day, my day...thrilled to death to be here again, with all of these fantastic fellow bloggers.  Carol has been out doing herself organizing these hops for all of us.  Let's give a big thank you, Carol!!
I have a couple of pieces to show you this time around...yes, getting carried away with it..lol.

First up, is this wall hanging...you may have seen it at this stage a few months back.
Three paper pieced trees from Tall Tree Trim...now what do I do with these?  Well, this it what I decided on...a wall hanging.
I pieced it together with narrow, 1-2" white background strips, added borders, and machine quilted with wavy, snow mound type lines. And I liked it after all that...lol.
Another view of it...
This shows the different whites in the background. Some are plain whites, and some are tone on tone.
So, that's the first one...now on to the others.
This is the Woodland Forest tree skirt by Karen Neary from Sew Karen-ly Created...
It is so much fun to make, too...I even made a second!
Another view...
Now...my explanation for two skirts is, print your templates from an iPad...get the smaller one.  Print templates from a laptop and get the larger tree skirt. You have a large tree...you have a smaller tree...not a problem!!!

Well, I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this blog hop, and will be in the next one also.  Please take the time to visit everyone else on the list below and leave a wonderful comment.
Thank you for being here for us.
