WIP Wednesday

Linking up to Monika at http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/

It is still very humid here this week...can't stay in the garden long enough to do much.  But I did get one row of beets thinned out yesterday, they are delicious!!!!!  Now...since I can't work much outside...you know what that means!!!!!   Lol

So, so far this week I have machine quilted this one..still needs bound.
I like the texture from the quilting.  I have all the blocks made for the Irish Chain order...
Just a few of them here... And I am close to the center of this one that I am hand quilting.
A look at the quilting...
I have a crib size quilt pinned for the Tiara, binding a set of placemats...
Picking up another order on the weekend, and have a quilt top coming in a week or two to hand quilt.
That is it for WIPs this week.....now on to other things.  I am babysitting my grandson's puppies this week.
Aren't they the cutest????  Lol
And here are my hibiscus, loving the humid weather!!!!

Love, love, love these!!!!!  What's everyone else up to?

WIP Wednesday

I am linking up to Monika at http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/
Works in progress....well, this week I am piecing the Double Irish Chain for my customer. He is what I have so far...
I am loving these colors together.  This next one has been pinned to machine quilt soon...
And, I put this one in the frames to hand quilt.

I had planned on machine quilting this one, but was bored without one to work on....so, in It went this afternoon!
I am waiting for a customer to bring a quilt to me for hand quilting...I thought I could wait....not!   Lol
This is how much I did after putting it in.....
The thread is almost gold in colour...I don't like quilting with black on black.  I had the nicest couple stop at my shop today, from the U.S....wonderful to chat with.  You meet some of the nicest people through quilting.

Well, that's it for this time around folks...enjoy your day!

Finishes

Finishes are such a feeling of accomplishment, aren't they?  This quilt is the third or fourth that I've hand quilting for this lady.  She always uses the brightest colours for her grand children's quilts..lol
I edited this pic on my phone, but it didn't crop when it went to my iPad...what????  Lol here it is anyway.
This next pic is the fabric I'm going to use for my next order...Double Irish Chain.
This should make a very pretty quilt...don't you think? Well, I am working the Historical Society Quilt show and sale tomorrow morning.  It's been years since I've worked the quilt show...should have put some of mine in this year,,,,always next year, eh.

Have a great weekend!!!!!

WIP Wednesday

Good morning!!!!! It is a little damp here today....rained through the night and off and on this morning, but the gardens love it! I get to stay in and sew too...yay!

Today, I have a new piece to show you..
I just finished piecing this baby size quilt...tumbling block.  It was very easy to put this together and loving it! The hockey quilt is pieced, but no pic til it's quilted. Too big for the design wall, and hanging over a chair isn't great for a flimsy. So...later,eh?

I have this one in the frames being hand quilted....customers quilt.
I've quilted several for this lady...she likes bright for her grand children.  And I have an order for a Double Irish Chain...from the same lady I made these two for this Sumer.
Star Gazing, and Floral Arbor.....
There we go for this week folks...have a good one.
Ohhh, and this one that I made for our grand daughter's graduation...
BLossom Lane...I made one of these earlier last year, I believe....for a customer, almost the same fabrics.  Linking up to Monika at http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/

Graduation!!!!

Well, we got together yesterday at my son's home to celebrate MacKenzie's graduation from high school. It was a really nice evening, with dessert and champagne for us grown ups..lol

She has done very well with lots of scholarships and such for UNB this fall...a very smart cookie.
I have been anxious for this little party, because I made her a quilt for graduation and doing so well.
She has been anxiously awaiting this one!!!  Lol..she picked up the gift yesterday and said..." Is it possible...this is my quilt...lol".

Here is the graduate with her quilt....
And....family watching on their deck...
Here to your left is an Aunt, and another Grampie's feet...lol
I got an extra hug last night.....hmmmmmm. Her other Grammy thinks she should take care of it for her, instead of taking it to university with her!!!!!!!!!!
