WIP Wednesday/Finish Friday

One more week of February gone! It was a messy week here; with a blizzard last weekend and snow and freezing rain last night....but it is winter,right?

Ok...on with my WIPs this week:  I can now show all of you my pieces for the 'Hugs and Kisses' blog hop.....my day was yesterday.

I have my project ready for the 'All About Me' blob hop...sneak peek?

My first block is done for the QAL ...

I have started another table topper; but sorry, I forgot to take pictures...soon.

I have finished the 'Bluenose' quilt though...completely finished and ready to ship.

I am sorry that the compass I stitched in the black corners just above the anchors don't show up here...the light just wasn't great....but I stitched the arrows with N,S,E and W on those corners. But you get the idea...right?   lol        

Next; I have to get moving with the project for 'Nancy Drew' hop coming up in March....

Hugs and Kisses/Giveaway

Whooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!!! It is my day for the Hugs and Kisses blog hop. I can't tell you how much fun I have had getting ready for this hop. I enjoy all of them, but this one was fantastic!! I got to use my Go!Baby and things went really well. So right to it!!

I made a table topper with my heart die; It measures about 27" square....and I finished it with some FMQ of a vine of heart shaped leaves.

I cut the hearts out with the Go!Baby....fused them on then appliqued with a hot pink thread/Essentail Threads from Connecting Threads.  It works really well. It is quilted with DIY thread in the top and bobbin thread in the bobbin.

Now I couldn't stop at one piece this time!!!! So; next up is....this little pillow:

This is Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam on Valentine Day!!!!!  It is quilted with a small paisley.....

and I made an envelope back for it....with these cute little buttons.

And last, but not least....a little wall hanging. Since this hop is called 'Hugs and Kisses'....well the wall hanging is the same.....with a few hot little lips....lol

This one was not cut out with the Go!Baby...shoot!! I don't have that die!!!!  So tedious cutting by hand of the letters and lips...lol.  It is quilted with little loops on the white and down the borders.

                                                         

Not sure you can see much of the quilting here.

A New Challenge for 2013

This year is going to be just as exciting as the last!!  SewCalGal put this link up so that we could all have a chance to watch it before it is taken down. Right now; you can view it for free, but not for long folks...and it is worth seeing.

She has decided to continue the FMQ challenge into this year; I am so happy! This is a piece with Thread Play..and it is fantastic!  Please take the opportunity to watch the video and give it a try...I am anxious to get started on mine.

WIP Wednesday

Whoo Hoo!!!!  We are into Feb.; and moving along through our winter. We have lots of snow forecast for this weekend. That means we can snowshoe again, which makes the winter fly by nicely, and keeps it a bit warmer. Anyway; on with the WIPs:

I am just past the 1/2 way mark hand quilting the 'Bluenose'...I will have pictures when finished.

And I pieced this table topper along with my friend Connie from Shepody Mountain Crafter...this is a kit we bought from Connecting Threads...I just love it!!!!

This; along with the runners I showed you last week, still have to be quilted. We are getting together to sew again tomorrow afternoon and evening with 2 other friends. You may remember the quilt I showed you last week too.  It belonged to Rose; one of the other friends. We have a great time working and having tea together.
