Well; I read Paulette's post and then Connie's post and I couldn't resist any longer!!  This is because I Am A Quilter!!!!!

'Take Five' makeover

Remember the quilt I showed you a few days ago??? the group quilt....well; I wasn't happy with the light green border I put on mine.   So; I took if off and put another on....here is the remake....lol

This is the first version here....

The green border was suppose to pull the green from the blocks above; but didn't work...so back to the darker color....which I like.  I can stop thinking about it now....lol

I've been a bit slow getting these pictures up; but a little while back I won a giveaway from Amira over at Sewing Under Little Mushroom Caps.....this is what Amira was so kind to send me.

I was ready to say I liked your bag....That was before you modelled it in the right time frame. Now I absolutely love it! What a fun idea. You made me grin! One question: Are those clothes the originals.......And you STILL fit into them.....Amazing.

Quilts, Quilts,Quilts

Remember I told you about our sewing group making 5 quilts on Saturday????  Well; here are 3 of them finished!!

This first on belongs to Connie; from Shepody Mountain Crafter...was going to give you the link...but blogger is not co operating right now.

This one belongs to Rose; not a blogger, but a good friend

This one is mine.....these are all the same pattern done in different colors.  Isn't it amazing how different they can look......I call mine 'funky' because it is totally different than my normal style.  

We had a great time getting these together; and Judy and Marla will have theirs on here soon.

WIP Wednesday

I know I am a little late, but I wanted to get pictures before posting today. This has been one busy week here; getting the last of my vegie garden in and pickles made.

On to WIPs.....I finished hand quilting the second Log Cabin quilt.

 This quilt measures 105x125 inches....

 A glimpse of the back of the quilt..... these next quilts are the ones going in to be hand quilted in a couple of days.

 This is a customers quilt for her grandson for Christmas

This one is another customer's quilt...all in Batiks....loving this!!

Besides these quilts to hand quilt; I have a cross stitched quilt to put together....I have the finished blocks. I will put sashings and a scalloped border on and hand quilt it.

I also have 2 scrappies, garden fence, texas teardrops, swoon, and the take five that my sewing group worked on last Saturday... tonight I will put the borders on it and add it to this pile to be quilted. I am really hoping to get time to machine quilt some of these ones on Tiara.  Now that outdoor work is getting over; fingers are crossed to get to these.

And I am in on all the blog hops coming up ....love those things. I think I'm addicted!!!!!

October Goals

October is here!!!  Our summer is gone,but yard work is coming to an end...I have to set my goals for the month of Oct. now.....I have 2 quilts I want to finish by the end of this month.  There are really 3...but the Log Cabin is going to be finished in a day or two....so won't set that one as a goal.

I have one small quilt and one queen size to do for this month...I have no pictures of either one....but as soon as I get them out; I will post them for you to see.

Ok...I got the pictures now....First up is the child's quilt I will put it in next for a customer.

 The next is for a different customer...queen size...in Batiks.
