WIP Wednesday

I am not among the missing, just a very busy outdoor summer!!! I am just about finished this quilt though...seems like months but only been a few weeks hand quilting this one.

I am doing a lot of sewing...just can't show it because of spoiling the surprises.  One of these days though. I am ready for the RBD Gingham blog hop starting tomorrow. My day is the 9 th. Also ready for the Rush Hour blog hop the end of the month.

I,ve got 3 other quilts waiting to be hand quilted and a load of them to be machine quilted.  I picked up the first months kit for our groups AL...100 Club.  this year is a very basic HST quilt in Bella Solids...love the colors. will show you once we get started on it.

I apologize for odd emails that say they are from me....not from me.  I have changed passwords a couple of times and still happening. I am also getting these in my comments, is I don't know how or why. If anyone has an idea, please let me know..thank you

I've also changed my settings to 'only Google readers' hoping that will make a difference.

WIP Wednesday

Well, it's been a few weeks since I posted a WIP.  I don't think I even showed you the beginning of this quilt.

I just finished hand quilting it...

adding a couple of pictures...trying to get the light right...not working.  the top pic is closest to the colour.

this was a nice one to hand quilt too.

this is the one I am working on now...

Just started quilting on it today.  Now, I also have my projects all ready for the RBD Gingham blog hop coming up early in Sept.  And working on the project for the Rush Hour hop the end of Sept.   can't show you these though....

I have 2 more quilts waiting to be hand quilted and another on its way.   so...still busy for awhile.  I have 3 here of my own to be machine quilted, and piecing more.  You know we have long winters...right???? Lol

was a very hot day here today. I mowed the lawns and picked fresh veggies for supper. In a couple of days I should have peas ready to harvest. this keeps me busy this time of the year. Enjoy the WIPs this week.

I am quilting...believe it or not...LOL

this is the slowest time for quilting for me. my garden has been occupying most of my time.  but what a garden we have this year!!  I am also just about finished hand quilting a friends quilt...so not all is lost..LOL

A few of our cucumbers

Purple beans waiting to be blanched this afternoon...in the freezer now. I have 76 pints done up.

Mustard pickles...made those yesterday along with beets..no pic of those. I forgot them..LOL Also bread and butter pickles...

Our delicious supper...all from the garden!!   Beet greens pickles cucumber and hodge podge.   Ah it was so very good!!

wonderful garden this year...we gave friends and neighbours tons of veggies...it feels good.

Now that I am caught up with garden I can rest a little bit tomorrow...LOL Then the peas and carrots will be ready.  No rest for the wicked, eh...hahaha

What is going on here lately

it is not sewing!!  I am getting a little sewing and quilting in, but not the usual at all...LOL

It's all because of this.....

One of our best gardens is this year.  I froze 28 pint bags of green beans in the past few days and eating lots of beet greens and Bsby carrots.  Besides  making pickles.

These are looking nice now too...

so; I am still here...just not with quilt pictures?
