WIP Wednesday

It's been a while since I posted one of these. I was away on a cruise for ten days, and just haven't been around lately....sooooo, let's see what we have.

Been home for a week now, and I have a customer quilt in the frames being hand quilted. It is over half quilted as of tonight and going smooth. This quilt was pieced several years ago...I get the pleasure of finishing it.

I picked up a sampler quilt today to hand quilt...haven't looked at it yet though. I still have this one waiting to be quilted on the Tiara.

I got a custom order this past week from a long time customer for a queen size quilt for a wedding gift.

So, I need to start piecing this one soon....she has been good to me!

I have fabric cut for two casserole carriers to make with our sewing group on Monday. And....I have my post ready for my day in the Quilt Qwazy Queens. Blog hop....my day is Thursday of this week.

Well.....I think I am done for the night. I hope you are following the hop, schedule is in my last post.

You know i have a stack of quilts of my own waiting to be quilted!!!!!

Back from vacation!!

Seems like ages since I've posted....we were away for two weeks. Marla, from marlascrafts, and myself went on a cruise in the Caribbean. We had a great trip on the Grandeur of the Seas.

Now ...to try and get back to normal here!! A couple of pics to share....

Finished!!!

Well, I didn't expect to finish this quilt before my trip...but here it is. It's not a good picture because I layed it on the floor, and then couldn't get back from it enough to get the whole quilt in.

It measures 80x80 inches.....not large but I really like it.

Besides what you can see...there is a 4" black border

And Connie and I each pieced a runner onThursday...pattern from ConnectingThreads....

WIP Wednesday

Here we are again...and I have a few pics for you. This week I am working on a new quilt top, called A Slice of Sun.

Here is the pattern...

Here are the blocks I have so far...four of these.

These blades will be appliquéd on to four black squares for corner blocks. Then to make the centre block. It's an enjoyable project so far.

In about three weeks myself and sewing buddies will be starting a Giant Dahlia quilt top. I've made a lot of these in the past, but got tired of it and stopped. Time to try one again.

I have Girls Night Out pinned and ready to machine quilt.

Does anyone know if there are fabric shops in Inner Harbour, Baltimore? We will be there for a couple of days next week. Enjoy the rest of your week folks.

WIP Wednesday

Hi folks...been a couple of weeks since I posted one of these. In my defence, lol....I spent a week with my grandson and no quilting. But got back to it and finished one last night.

This customer quilt is a large queen, and very simply hand quilted. This pic is on the bed...

This one is draped over a chair...

And a peek at the back...

This lady knew exactly what she wanted.

I have the Center done on my 100 club quilt. You may remember...I do one with the fabric shop every year.

Next is a soft yellow pin dot border, then a border of piano keys and another yellow one. This is a disappearing 9 patch.

I have my piece finished for the blog hop coming up mid March...but you have to wait for that one!

I won't be hand quilting for the next couple of weeks, taking a break before my trip. But, when I get back,look out!!! Lol

I have one customer quilt waiting now, and 3 or 4 on the way. Plus the ones to be machine quilted.

Nuts About...Blog Hop

Good morning folks! My day in our fun blog hop...and we are off and running, lol.

My part in the hop is a table runner I made for today. I am nuts about many things, but my family comes first. This piece represents my husband, our sons, and our grandchildren.
