Wednesday...where does the time go?

THis week I am fighting headaches each day, but moving along.  I did finish and am shipping this morning...these quilts for customers.

THis is a large queen size quilt, hand quilted...love this soft fabric. It is a wedding gift from my customer.

And this one...I apologize because I neglected to get a picture of it finished before packing it up.

But seriously, there is so much going on with the little flowers...you can't see the quilting. This is a bed runner with a cushion to match.  I met the owner on the cruise ship, and was delighted to do this for her.

I am now hand quilting this one..

This is a customer quilt made from gorgeous flannel. I was afraid it would be hard to hand quilt, but not so! I have a couple of crib quilts to machine quilt...and many more large quilts waiting.

I am also starting a snow geese quilt..just have a few pieces cut...so maybe next time there will be something to show you.

I am having a fantastic week here in Shepody, N.B....working outside, then taking a break inside at one quilt or another.  Things are really moving along with my quilting...better not jinx it...lol

I am hand quilting this order for a lady who has got me to make quite a few quilts for her.

Sorry...I turned the quilt a couple of hours ago, which means you can't see the quilting...hmmmm

But I am loving this quilt...such soft colours.  I mentioned a monopoly quilt last week, well it is finished. Now, it's not my kind of quilt, but the man wanted this one..lol

I still have a few of my own to quilt and a few more customers.  This next one is a bed runner from a lady I met on the cruise.

Monday.....Monday......

It has been a good one here today.  It was seasonal temps, and I got lots done.  I was outside in the sun, edging one of my flower beds...nice to be out.  I also finished piecing this custom order.

This is a very pretty quilt that I will start hand quilting in a few days.

I finished quilting this next one on my Tiara this afternoon. This is a disappearing nine patch that I did with our local fabric shop...pieced on a monthly basis.

I am working on the binding of a customer quilt now. And will start piecing a monopoly quilt soon.

Almost forgot...I opened my shop this afternoon, and had this wonderful lady from Israel in for a talk...so very nice.

WIP Wednesday

Today, I was very busy with my quilting and sewing. My WIPs are many...lol, and growing, I'm afraid. Now, that is a good thing for me!!!

I am 3/4 through the hand quilting on this lovely sampler quilt.

One  row of blocks and the outside borders to do. I have this Disappearing nine patch pin basted and ready to quilt on the Tiara

It has a piano key border plus another yellow pin dot border besides what you can see here.

I am piecing rows now for a custom order...here is the fabric and blocks for you to see.

And a start on the rows...they are on point, sitting very crooked here.  Lol, design wall is a bit high!!!

I have placemats to make for a friend, and a quilt top on the way to me from The U.S.

I have a few quilts of my own waiting, but I'll get to them eventually.  Have to get my shop ready to open in a few weeks too. It's a busy time of year, but I love it!

This week, I finished hand quilting this quilt for a friend...

I started it yesterday, and I am cutting fabric for a new order for this pattern...

My order will be in purples. Monday we are getting together a a group to make casserole carriers.

Now, I need to pin baste another one of mine for the machine...keep them moving.

I was a very traditional quilter for many years...then came blogging, lol.  Love my blogging friends, and I have learned so much from all of you!  Now, I do traditional and more modern quilting as much as I can.  I make quilts to sell, I hand quilt and machine quilt them...also . I hand quilt and machine quilt for others.  As you can see on my blog...I usually have a stack of quilts waiting to be quilted.

Now, I am going to show you a few of my pieces...this Remembrance Poppy is my favorite. It is hand quilted.

This next one is a customer quilt that I hand quilted. 

This is one I made as a Thank You to our local detachment.

I made three of these for my grandsons for Christmas.

Ok....I could do this forever!!!  Lol. I want to show you something that I have only done once...a Bargello. I had put this off for so long,but loved it in the end!
